Common Tasks - Image Options

Modified on Thu, 23 Feb, 2023 at 7:29 PM

There are a few additional fields for the Images that you need to remember:

  • “Navigation URL”: This is where  you can add a URL in the image so it can also serve as a hyperlink to redirect you to the link when you click on the image.
  • “Navigation target”: This option allows you to specify the target of the URL. For example, if you wish to open the navigation URL when the image is clicked in a new window, then you should put ‘_blank’ into this field.
  • “OnClick”: This allows you to specify the javascript that will be executed when the image is clicked.
  • “Alternate Text”: This is a text description that can be added to an image’s HTML tag oa your site page. This is used when the image cannot be displayed in which case the Alt text is shown instead. You can also see the Alt text if a user hover a mouse over the image. The W3C (world wide web consortium) recommends putting an ALT attribute to every image on the website with a brief description of what is displayed on the image.
